Thanks for that link Peedal... i've just bought a tub from them!
The postage makes it expensive stuff, but hey... i'm throwing lots of money around lately in the name of Christmas, so what's one more purchase?!

I'd rather pay extra for something nice and natural than some processed crap.

Lol - i had no idea that people have such strong opinions about peanut butter.

Cant believe this thread has lasted so long. Just wanted to mention that the ex husbeast's sister sent the boys a package for Xmas and it included two very large jars of Skippy and a few bottles of squeezy grape jam. I made peanut butter cookies and gave them to my Brit. in-laws. They all really enjoyed them! I was very surprised.

I am too!  My co-workers all hated the Reece's PB cups when I brought then!!!!

I miss Jif and Skippy,, with a healthy dollop of grape jelly. Why is there no grape jelly here in the UK? I could handle that nasty sunpat stuff better with a huge dollop of grape jelly.

Gonna have to bring some proper peanut butter home next trip.

I must not be an American peanut butter afficianado because I quite like Whole Earth. But then, back home I would only eat peanut butter that contained just peanuts and salt, with no hydrogenated fats or added sweeteners.

It's the difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

Lipstick? Where woman? There is no lipstick!
She wasn't kissing your lips my darling

What's it gonna be Merv?
Interesting deal
She'll do it. If she has to kill everyone in this room. She'll do it. She's in love.
*sigh*
It's amazing how the path of love is so alike to the path of insanity

Rape seed oil is cheaper than peanut oil. It's more profitable to extract the peanut oil and sell it and replace it with other oils and sugars. Nice, eh?

I'll eat pretty much any pb you care to give me but I try to buy the whole stuff without palm oils. Palm oil is the worst you can get.

If anyone is interested, I have a FAB peanut butter cookie recipe courtesy of Nigel Slater - a great British cookery writer.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
