Adventures in Root Beer
« on: August 22, 2018, 07:12:03 PM »
Look what I found in a farm shop near Lewes:

It's a cordial, so that means you have to mix it with sparkling water yourself.

Funny, it's made in the UK.

My boy and I organised a tasting event, where we compared the cordial with our favorite premium Root Beer.  The final verdict was that the Virgil's was better, the fresh ingrediants and proper flavors still stands out.

I genuinely wouldn’t have thought root beer cordial was a thing..do you think it straight or mix it?

It has to be mixed, it's very concentrated.

I went to the site and they sell something like 50 flavours, including Sarsparilla (root beer's little known twin)

When I think of sarsaparilla, I think of both the Wild West and looney toons.
