The MPs are the ones who are elected to make the decisions on the Withdrawal Agreement, if there is one.

Then what was the point of having a referendum? You can't have it both ways.

There was a referendum back in '75.

That was for the EEA.

Why do Brexiters think everyone hates England? Nobody is out to get them.

It is some sort of weird self absorption.

?  To ask what the country wanted.

Then the MPs take over with the terms of a Withdrawal Agreement, or they vote not to have a Withdrawal Agreement and revert to WTO rules.

We can't have a losers referendum. Can you imagine what every General Election or local election would be like? "I didn't get what I wanted so we should all vote again". Best of 7 for every Genera/Local Elections?

Gina Miller had to take them to court to get the MPs envolved.

May was pretending to be Henry 8th.

And Brexiters branded the Supreme Court "enemies of the people" for stopping her.

But I thought you just said we have MPs to represent us? Shouldn't part of their job be knowing what we want? So which is it? Do the people get a say or is parliament responsible? You keep changing your answer.

That is not how a vote works. I have explained above, several times, how it works in the UK. I said that we can't keep having the losers vote, for the obvious reason that it would never end because there would always be losers.

It's the same as in the 70s, when the country was given a referendum to see if they wanted the UK to join the EEA. The MPs implemeted the majority vote.

Of course, you're arguing against something no one is calling for. You see, the first vote was whether to remain in the EU or to leave it. What people are calling for now is a vote on whether to leave under the terms of whatever deal the UK government manages to reach with the EU, leave without reaching a deal, or remain.

You can keep supporting the method of decision that aligns with your opinion if you want, but it's obvious you'd change your mind to whatever procedure supported your point of view.

May did not want Parliament to be envolved at all she intended to use Executive powers.

Right now, this whole ill-thought-out mess is a handfull of Tories fighting to stay on top of the party. It means nothing else to them.

Chequers needs a vote.

This is the way England works, then and now.

One of the threads on here (of 14 pages) complaining about when the Labour party was in government ;D

Maybe they should just have one, but make sure one side doesn't break the law?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5961485/Vote-Leave-fined-61-000-breaches-electoral-law-Brexit-campaign.html

This personal attack is uncalled for.

Don't worry, me and Sirius have got some wrasslin to do when we finally meet up.

Can we please have another referendum where the Russians don't alter the outcome? How about one where people have the slightest idea what  they are actually voting for?

Chequers needs a vote.

No one on either side is happy with the Chequers proposal!
