yep we've been naughty and watched the US episodes  ;D
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

I can't remember the names either.  I liked that scene in this week's episode where the macria Cross character hauled her teenage son out of the strip club. I could imagine myself acting just like that if I ever got put in that situation.  (thankfully that is where the similarity between me and that character ends...... I think .... I mean, I do like coooking nice meals .... )

Oh. I haven't watched it yet, but I can't help but think I won't like it. Is it like Sex and the City and so on? I didn't get why that was considered so addictive. I didn't like Ally McBeal. When I see the ads, I am just put off by how all these women look. Yeah, most suburban housewives look like that. Sure.

Could someone explain what's good about it?

Us UK viewers are only on episode 4 or possibly 5 if we're lucky enough to have a bit of satellite.... Anyone else more up to date than that is downloading from the web!!

And I hit www.televisionwithoutpity.com if I absolutely cant stand the suspense anymore...they recap shows down to the minute....

The only thing it has in common with SATC is the friendship between the female leads, but these are friendships based on location, not choice. It's all in the comedy, those witty moments we all have as women - don't be fooled by the superficial gloss of the show, it's all about what really goes on behind closed doors, in our heads as women and mother's and if you have a slightly dark sense of humour you'll enjoy the writing behind the show.

Try it , then decide :)

Andrew and I both like the show. For those who don't, it's not meant to be taken as serious drama (like "The Sopranos" or "ER"). It's a lighthearted addiction (although it IS strange that there are two people from "Melrose Place"--hated that show--on it). And Stella, getting back to a post of yours several pages back: I said the same thing about the nosy neighbor--that she's just like Mrs. Kravitz from "Bewitched"--although she, at least, isn't considered nuts for seeing houses vanish and reappear before her. :)

On a side note, while we were in the States, we saw the first four episodes of the fourth season of "24," which starts here in a week or so. But we don't get that channel! Tears of bitter resentment. :) To go by the first four episodes, it's going to be a good season.
