The Bristol public ferry I mentioned is a water taxi/ferry thing that runs until 6pm which has 17 stops all along the waterfront.  £6.60pp for an all-day hop-on/hop-off ticket.

That sounds like so much fun!  :)

The only kids I know of who might be there are KF's, and she's not sure if they're coming along.  I have a feeling she'd be happy with a pub, though.  ;)

To be honest, after having worked a night shift the night before and then driven 180 miles to Bristol, I’m not sure I’ll be up to much activity (I’ll be surviving on about 4-5 hours of sleep).

Something like a pub or restaurant meal would probably be more my speed.

Since we'll be arriving later, too, that's probably fine for us.  Activities earlier in the day for people who show up earlier, so they have a reason to stick around long enough for us to get there.  ;)

Yeah, I'm quite easy.  If it's a later meetup, there definitely won't be any kids in tow.  I think there is a much greater chance there won't be kids than be kids.  All depends on what we decide to do for the weekend.  I'm still leaning towards us all coming and going to the zoo (cuz, Pool Master).  But if we do, I'd likely leave the hubby to childcare while we go out and play.  ;D

Crap, I haven’t been keeping my calendar up to date.  I have plans on the 27th to take my husbands cousins kid to Les Mis for her 16th birthday.

BUT, we CAN change the date, as I got the insurance.  If we are 100% sure this is happening, I’ll change the date.

Are we 100% yet?

The only other date that seemed viable was November 3rd.  I think that for me and for ksand24, either date works out the same for us...

I’m in the same situation for both Oct 27 and Nov 3 - working a night shift the night before but then can drive down in the afternoon :).

However, with the Sat Nov 3rd date, I don’t have to be back at work until Wed 7th, but with Sat Oct 27th I have to be back at work on Tues 30th, which gives me less time in Bristol.

It's sounding like November 3rd might be fine (or even better?) for most of us.... is there anybody who couldn't make November 3rd but would be able to make it on October 27th?  I don't want to cause anybody to get left out by moving the party if KF is able to move her other commitment, but November 3rd does sound better for most of us.
