Hi,
just reading through this list I'm kind of freaking. We are getting married in November in US and are currently compiling our spousal visa so its ready to send soon after. I am a UK citizen sponsoring my fiance ( currently asking this logged in to his profile)

The things on the list you've written that I don't have are old passports? P60 ( is that just for me the UK resident?) Passport photo of the sponsor? I was just sending stamped and verified printouts of my passport.
Also wanted to ask about excessive info - we have about 20-30 photos of us together in different locations, holidays etc. And flight info - we are literally putting in e-ticket printouts of every flight ever made to each other . Is this necessary or just make a small selection?

Thanks

They put an e where it should be an 'a', in one spot. But it is correct in another area. I know I can only provide what I have. So was just wondering because we would have to print it (also no signature-but I guess the signed job letter would confirmed that he accepted the job.
The employment contract is optional but recommended.  How badly misspelled is your partner's name?  Would it cause the ECO to think it's a different person?  If it might be confusing, I'd probably leave it out.  But otherwise, a home-printed electronically delivered one is acceptable, as you can only give Home Office what you were give.  And, again, the contract is optional, anyway.  :)

The applicant is the one who needs to send their old passports (so UKVI can verify their travel history), not you.

Yes, that’s just you. The applicant does not send any employment information. And also there’s no such thing as a P60 in the US.

No passport photo of the sponsor. Just send a photocopy of the photo page of your passport only (can be certified by a Post Office if you like).

Nope, take almost all of them out. You only need to send 1 photo... just to prove you have met one time in person.

We usually suggest sending 2 photos though... 1 from the wedding and 1 from early in the relationship, just to show relationship progression.

Yes, include all boarding passes (or etickets if you don’t have the boarding passes anymore). They are your strongest relationship evidence.

Does anyone have experience with Natwest. We have requested the 1 year bank statement twice and we haven't received any to date. We sent in a 3rd request today. What can we do. We have already been waiting 1 month just for bak Statements that never show up.

Im frustrated at this point. This shouldbt be this hard.

Can you not just log into Online Banking, print off the PDF statements for each month and then ask a local Natwest branch to stamp them?

I can print up to 7 years' worth of monthly statements from my Natwest online banking.

I am not sure, we do not have a printer at home.  There in branch system can only print 6 months not  1 year. This just all feels hopeless. Its pointless to keep going and requesting it at this stage.

Please don't feel hopeless - this should be an easy fix. If you can find somewhere to use a printer (like a library, or a print cafe, or maybe a friend can help out), you can have all 12 months of statements printed within a few minutes.

Though, you will need to get them stamped by the bank on every page, or have the bank write a letter confirming they are authentic.

pdf statements are the statements which you can used as a original proof as pdf files can't be amend , so you can go ahead and use the pdf statements as proof, as branch staff will not stamp it as they don't have such option available that is why they have provided alternatives such as pdf and download

This is what the bank is telling me. They also will not stamp the ones we print off.

Is that a specific branch? I would try a couple of different branches and see what they say (as some people have had luck that way).

I would explain that the PDF statements printed at home will not be accepted by UKVI as original and that you need them to either be stamped or accompanied by a letter.

Also, not sure where they have been, but PDF files certainly can be amended these days...you can purchase an option in Adobe Acrobat Reader that allows you to edit text and images in a PDF file.

My life is literally on hold because of bank statement.

But surely that's all the more reason for him to try somewhere else?

Trying somewhere else could potentially have this fixed in a matter of hours.

Would it help if your husband joined this discussion on here?  He might get some help in sorting this out.

I also had a difficult time getting bank statements.  I am with the HSBC and there are no HSBC branches in the country where I was - so I could not get them stamped.

Basically I got it sorted by speaking to a person at the bank and explaining what I needed.  They had to courier them to me.

Sometimes it is worth speaking to a human, rather than put in an online request.

This can be sorted.  Try not to get too upset.

He has tried 3 branches now including a major one. They will only do 6 months statement. They told him they will not stamp the ones we print. He has even asked the branch managers.

I do not know what else to try.
