Actifry
« on: October 07, 2018, 10:48:16 PM »
Has anyone got an Actifry -- one of those fryers that only take like a tablespoon of oil?
I watched a few videos on YouTube, and it looks good, but if any of you can share some real-life experience with it, that'd be great!

Yes, I do.  Makes awesome chips.

I have a first gen one, so I bought a little basket that fits in that I can use to make stuff without the paddle.

You can use if for curries and things too, but we don't bother. We mostly just use it for chips and occasionally things in the basket like bajis/pakoras, fish, chicken.

The paddle broke on me after 5 years of use, found a replacement easily on the internet.

Thanks PB!
I might get one...not decided. I've been outbid on a few on eBay .

I'm still thinking about an Instant Pot too, which would probably get used more.

I use my IP at least once a week, sometimes 3-4x. But if I had an air fryer I would probably also use that too. I love kitchen gadgets.

Get the IP! I use mine for most of my cooking.
