Oh, what rotten luck. But never mind, you'll get it done in a day or two!  :)

Congratulations on getting your application off! Do you have your tracking number yet?

Is that the number she gave me at the end... yes, I think I do....?  I was given something.  :P  I need to unwind.  I had to do a lot of walking.  (I'm so lazy...)

Feet up and a little drinky... man... yes.

When I was stood at the counter at the post office, being told the machine was broken, after walking all the way from our car (I had to stop to rest along the way!)... She kept talking, and I swear she was looking for me to say "I understand", but I was thinking more along the lines of, "#$@&%*! ...do you have any idea how much of a challenge it is for me to get here?!!!"  Instead, I said virtually nothing, took the phone number she offered me and left.  Then I sat down on a bench outside and just ... stewed.  I had a bit of a temper tantrum, I think.  :P

I would have too if I'd got him all the way there and it had been for nothing. Completely understandable.  :)

Drinky, now!   :)

I phoned the nearest Post Office with the broken Home Office biometric enrolment booth, and the woman who answered has confirmed that the machine is back up.  Our current plan is to phone again Saturday morning, and if it's still working then, we'll drive down and submit my biometics Saturday afternoon after my husband gets home from work.  That would only make it a three day delay from when I intended to do it.  It probably won't appreciably affect processing time.  And even if it did, I wouldn't know.  :P

Also, I ate the second half of my Dennys sandwich today for lunch.  It was tasty.

My husband leaves work in about 5 minutes.  I'm showered, dressed, have lunch ready to go (pickle salad wraps), and I've just phoned the Post Office in Port Talbot to confirm that the biometrics booth thing is working...  we are GO!  My barcode letter is in hand, and I have my BRP, passport, and money for the fee.  I will update again when it's done.
