Your instructor would not tell you that you are ready if you weren't.  Try to remind yourself of that if your nerves flare.  Granted, there are things that could happen on the day that are out of your control.  And if that happens, the worst thing that happens is you rebook.  You've got this Nan!

Agree with KF... if your instructor says you're ready, then you are ready.  Also, I have a feeling you are thorough in preparing yourself for anything, and I expect this will be much the same.  Good luck on Thursday, but I really don't think you need it.  :)

Thanks.

It does seem very strange, to have put this much cash and effort into getting a driving license that I won't actually use here!  But one never knows what the future will hold, and I'm thinking it would probably be transferrable to another country if we have to leave, so that we are not in the position of having to jump across-da-wattah (regardless of which direction the leap would be) without being able to get ourselves around on the other side. I know going to the States without being able to drive would be a nightmare.... 8)  And it'll be good for 10 years. I may or may not ever need to renew it, but at least I'd be able to toodle a bit more easily for those 10.

Four faults - three for checking the mirrors at the same time as I signaled rather then prior, and one for lane position in a weird Y intersection the likes of which I have never seen before (I kept to the right as I was going across the Y to the right, and someone pulled up to my left and also went across to the right. Examiner said I should have stayed more in the middle of the lane "because people will take a yard if you give them an inch, like that yabbo." ;)

Humorously, my certificate says I passed the test for a full license, not automatic. I assume that will be fixed before they issue the actual card.

I also had four minors when I did my test last year.  (Two of them were for the same thing... I did it twice.)  Congratulations!  Now you can travel to the US and not worry about transportation!  Well done!
