Sigh. The canteen is putting on 'Thanksgiving' with a roast turkey dinner, ala British roast dinner style and will be exactly like the Christmas dinner put on in a few weeks, minus the pigs in a blanket.
Or hot dogs. Yes, nothing says Thanksgiving like hot dogs.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving Dinner (late lunch).  My sister, brother in law and family friend, came round.  It was just so nice.  Nothing beats the smell of turkey roasting, does it?  The green bean casserole was a bit strange to them but they made the effort to taste it and you can't ask anymore can you.  I made fresh cranberry sauce and it was absolutely awful - plan B kicked in and we opened a jar.  I'm blaming the cranberries for my failure.

Just a good day.  And I'm feeling festive now - roll on Christmas.  Well, actually, I've been feeling festive for months but the smell of turkey today has really got me in the mood now.
