Tomorrow is Day 15 and I still have to pay for my kids IHS. I'm just trying to be proactive.

You won't be asked to pay for the IHS until the application is processed and approved.  :)

I know sending the email makes you feel like you are doing something - so if it helps, do so.  But it really is a waste of money.  It's a third party private company that the email goes to and they are notorious for not providing correct information.

I know you guys feel like the email is a waste but I have seem several applicants in other groups get traction because of emailing them.

Plus with everything getting lost or misplaced or problem with the scanning hub. I just decided to email them.

I've seen another person with dependents receive the link after 15wds and her decision has been made email came at 31wds. So I'm not sure if they have changed the process a little.

Maybe they have changed recently and emails are helping now, but we’ve experienced 8 years of complete incompetence from them, so we don’t have a whole lot of confidence that they can help :P.

How long do you think needs to pass before splurging to send an email and what does it need to say

You can send an email anytime you like and ask whatever you want to know.

That's how alot of ppl have found out
1. Documents scanning error
2. Documents missing
3. Application filed as standard instead of priority.

There response time has also gotten better. I emailed Thursday at 3am British time and when I got up at 6am my time, they had already responded. Not saying we all should email. Just saying it seem to be helping.

I have an odd question. I know you have 30 days from the date the Visa shows... can you fly on that last day, I was thinking the time difference and leaving on the 30th would make you possibly arrive on the 31st day? Is anything to be concerned with, or should you leave a couple days before the 30 day mark  ???

You would possibly have to leave on the 29th day to get there on the 30th day....if it's an overnight flight but if it's a same day flight you can leave in the 30th day.

You must arrive in the UK within the dates printed on the visa. So the absolute last time you can arrive in the UK is 23:59 on day 30.

For example, if your 30 days are December 15th to January 14th, you must be physically in the UK by the end of January 14th. You cannot travel on the 14th and arrive on the 15th.

That's what we were thinking.. Also, I think leave a day sooner so if a flight is cancelled by some odd chance
Thank you  :)

Don't cut it too fine, especially at this time of year. You never know how the weather's going to be!

Haha....anxiety has been getting the best of me. I plan to travel in the 2nd week of the Visa. Giving myself enough time. I have an entire apartment to pack up.
