I’m sorry. Our MP called so much I’m sure they are glad they are rid of me finally in Sheffield. Good vibes it gets done quickly. The problem we found out was Sheffield never got the first two emails we sent when they requested more documents

OMG that is crazy...not sure if I'm in the same situation. The MP's office said Sheffield requested 20 wds but it has been 25 now. I email them and they were like we are waiting for a response to the initial request plus they never pick up the phone...only answer phone. I'm frustrated

You should request a refund... yours was definitely not priority processing

Did you get an automated email reply after you sent them. We didn’t but this time when I sent them this morning, I got an email right back saying they attached it to our application

MrsPoetryMan,   Perhaps you could private message PeaceMakerNY the final email address you were given that got you the "we got your statements" response reply. If it was a generic one & not to a specific person. Your good luck may work for her.

And to PeaceMakerNY,   Your spouse may need to contact MP again directly. A caseworker isn't going to have the authority a true MP does anyway. Good luck to you.

They HAVE to respond by 20 working days so I'm wondering if the MPs office didn't sent their request on the same day you made it? Did you get the automatic reply to your email on the 31st? Wondering if maybe it took them a few days to pick it up (really slow but I found that this happened with me and when I initially emailed I only got a canned response so had to chase up days later to get a real one).
My, how time flies....

I think the caseworker finally contacted the home office. I got an email this morning saying my case is not straightforward and they are continuing to work on it.

I thought they had to as well but the home office does whatever they want. I still don't know any details of what is causing the delay etc...

If you've only ever received an automatic response, I would get in touch with them to ask them from what date it was that they put the escalation in. I can guarantee you that it will not have been picked up the same day you sent it so they very well may not have hit the 20 WD. I would definitely ask when they did pick it up so you can be sure to chase as soon as it hits 20WD are Home Office are obligated to give you a response by that point.

Home Office does whatever they want in many cases, but they DO stick to these guidelines. I.E. even if they haven't touched your application, they will still let you know within the escalation time frame what's going on even if it's not what's actually happened. This is why I don't think the person at your MPs office picked up the email from you on the 31st and escalated it with home office on that day.

You must be on the edge of your seat! I know we are, and our UPS package won't be delivered until tomorrow. Last scan was Louisville. It'll be good to have that vignette in hand (providing it's a "yes," and we didn't have an attachment on our email, so with any luck it will be?!). Then we can move on and book our shipping container and plane tickets etc. I'll be following to see an update when you get your package today! I'm sure it'll be fine. 😊
