If you've only ever received an automatic response, I would get in touch with them to ask them from what date it was that they put the escalation in. I can guarantee you that it will not have been picked up the same day you sent it so they very well may not have hit the 20 WD. I would definitely ask when they did pick it up so you can be sure to chase as soon as it hits 20WD are Home Office are obligated to give you a response by that point.

Home Office does whatever they want in many cases, but they DO stick to these guidelines. I.E. even if they haven't touched your application, they will still let you know within the escalation time frame what's going on even if it's not what's actually happened. This is why I don't think the person at your MPs office picked up the email from you on the 31st and escalated it with home office on that day.

I got an email saying they received my enquiry on Feb 5 and got another email saying it is escalated to the entry clearance team this morning. Idk what is taking so long...

This morning as in literally this morning....? Sounds like the MPs office may have let it fall through the crack :(

If they actually submitted it on the 5th, they should’ve had a response no later than yesterday COP.

I would phone them and get them to give you a clear answer of what day they escalated to home office on. Hoping they didn’t just completely drop the ball :(

I can't get through to the MP's office via phone. So emailing is the best way. I'm sure they spoke to the home office on Jan 31 but I don't think my case was escalated. I got an email literally this morning saying case is escalated to relevant entry clearance team which I believe was because the MP's caseworker followed up with the home office today to check up on the status. I guess I'll have to wait...

What do I need to take with me in my purse .. just the letter and passport and I’m taking my marriage certificate and old divorce papers showing my name change due to taking some meds that are in my maiden name.  Is this right. I don’t need my old passport too do I. I can pack it ?
Sorry. My mind is all over the place lol

For arriving in the UK, you just need your passport and the BRP collection letter.

Anything else you bring with you in your purse is your own personal preference.
