I had to purchase the 70.00 (up to 2 pounds) if we are only sending in copies, it seems to be right under 2 pounds.
Let me ask one thing, on one of his travel documents he sent me, it was two sided, so i printed it out 1 sided, the back side of each page is just customer information, do I need those pages? , or is it possible to leave them out.

FYI we are about 1 week ahead of you :)

So we paid for both the 2lbs, and the prioirty, but our weight was over 2lbs.

So my spouse went to UPS and bought the up to 5lbs labels. It was priced around the same as on the current VFS website, so there isn't any big difference between them and using UPS directly :)

question about Divorce Decrees and his ex's name and how it is seen.
I asked this yesterday but with my sudden tizzy of other questions, I forgot to see if I had an answer, or it just got lost.
I have my husbands divorce decree.. On the divorce decree his ex's name is seen as her married name but on the Appendix page 3 1.21 when it asks to have name and information regarding prior's, we put her maiden name...
Is that ok, or should I cross her name out and put her name as seen on the divorce decree, or fill out the page again, or does it matter ?
Thank you... you all are priceless  ;)

I think that's fine. I always put my husband's ex wife's maiden name on the forms . The divorce paperwork is the way it is!

Hi all,
when I drop off my documents at UPS Friday after my Biometric appt, is there anything specific I need to write on the package stating it is Priority ? I was thinking I saw on someone's thread to do this.
Thank you

Priority service...I wrote it all over my box. I also used a USPS large envelope and wrote priority all over that. Yes my package was actually a box.

Not sure if the instructions have changed on the new VFS site (since they seem to have taken ALL the information off it!), but the old instructions were that you needed to write 'SETTLEMENT PRIORITY SERVICE' in very large letters on the outermost packaging.

It might have change a little, it only said Priority Service on the instructions, but either one is still correct at this point.

Ah, okay - it used to be 'PRIORITY SERVICE' for non-settlement applications going to New York, and 'SETTLEMENT PRIORITY SERVICE' for settlement applications going to Sheffield.

Now that they all go to New York, I don't know if that is still the case.

I assume the priority visas for non settlement are processed by the consulate in NYC, but ours goes to the scanning hub which is a totally different location. So hopefully just writing priority service will do the trick (that's what vfs instructions said)

ALL applications go to the NYC scanning hub now, whether they are for settlement or non-settlement visas. There is only one address to send them to, regardless of visa type.

They will then get sorted into settlement applications which are scanned to Sheffield, and non-settlement applications which I assume are still processed in the US.
