Ok...we are exempt from the financial...So I don't have to worry about that. We have no issues proving that...We had a special circumstance we had to prove his benefits but that is easy enough to prove again.
It’s not quite as simple as that. There is still a minimum income requirement, even if you are exempt - you have to show Adequate Maintenance (which your solicitor should have clearly explained to you!).
You have to show that after paying any rent and council tax, you have at least as much left over each week as a UK couple receives in Income Support from the government.
This figure is about £115 per week.
The calculation for this and the documents you must provide are listed in Appendix FM 1.7a Adequate Maintenance:

You won’t be able to be put on the house, I don’t believe,
because you don’t own any of it yourself.
Really, you should have got your name added to as many bills as possible as soon as you arrived in the U.K., so that you would have the required documents now.
You don’t have to be on joint accounts, some things can be in just your name or just his name. Do your have any of the following you could use:
- NHS letter from registering with a GP
- DVLA letter from applying for a provisional driver’s licence
- any other mail in your name?
