FLR(M) Online Application Questions
« on: November 23, 2018, 09:38:59 PM »
Hi, looks like I'm forced to use the online application system for my second FLR(M). I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can help with:

Question: Do you own or rent your home?

--Does this mean me personally or my partner? My partner owns the flat. I am not on the mortgage. The possible answers are:
I own
I rent
Neither own nor rent

If I select neither then I have to provide the following:
Proof of property ownership from the owner of the property you live in, such as a mortgage statement
Copy of an ID document of the owner of the property you live in, such as a passport
Letter signed by the owner of the property you live in stating that you have permission to live there

I assume it means ‘do you and/or your sponsor own or rent?’, as in ‘what kind of accommodation are you providing proof of for the visa requirements?’

So I would tick that you own the property.

As your partner owns the flat, you will need to provide:
- the Land Registry document for the flat
Optional extra:
- his latest annual mortgage statement

You won’t need to provide an extra letter from the owner, because your sponsor IS the owner, and also your partner will be providing their passport/copy of their passport anyway, so that part is covered too.
