It's nice to know that I didn't muck up my first phone interview, and that I just wasn't as qualified as other candidates. However, this  is a real in-person interview!!! I'm so excited/nervous!!!

And, it's local! We won't have to move right away. It's a 6mo contracted position so it isn't permanent but it's a start and that's all I want!

6 months is still 6 months! It's work experience and that's what will be important. Fingers crossed for you on this one!

My, how time flies....

Both interviews went well!!

The cafe booked me in for a trail on the 22, but if Historic England picks me I can cancel the trial, as it isn't binding. If they don't pick me, then I can continue on with the cafe!!

Either way, folks, I think I've got a job! I'm just not sure which one yet..!!! ;D ;D

No job. And apparently I am "too enthusiastic" in interviews.

Great.

Might still have the job at the cafe. Will be part time, not really enough to change our financial situation but it's better than nothing I guess.
I am severely disappointed that my enthusiasm might've turned them off.

I don’t have any idea how one can be “too enthusiastic” when it comes to work and how that’s a bad thing...? Is that normal in that industry? Really sorry :(

Too enthusiastic?!?! Wtf? Don’t give up, and don’t change anything! Never let them turn you into someone you’re not. You will find the right job, and they will appreciate you for who you are.
