HI There everyone
« on: June 05, 2003, 12:09:01 AM »
[smiley=juggle.gif]I'm from Ohio and live in the West Midlands.  I've been in England for almost 3 years.  Still feeling like I'm trying to settle in.  I'm looking for people to chat with and maybe make some new friends.

Welcome to the board, Sheila.

You'll find this is the best place to 'hang out' as everyone else here knows exactly what you're going through.

It's been a huge source of comfort for me before and after my move. I hope it'll be the same for you.

Welcome to the site.

Hi Sheila!

Welcome to UKY!  I'm glad you found us!  I've found this site to be informative as well as supportive and very addictive!

Life should NOT be a journey to the
grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Hello Sheila,  welcome to UKY...  west midlands huh?  you are getting  a little closer to me I thinks...

LOL, just that so many here are from the south...  and the ones that I hear of from the north, seem to disappear...

I will be moving to Northumberland when my fiance and I get married this fall...  still a bit north of you though...

UKY is a great place...hope you enjoy the company and glad to have you aboard.

Hi Sheila!

Welcome to the site! I'm from New York State but I spent a year in western PA and took many trips over the border into Ohio!  I'm fairly new to England (18 months) and the this site/message board, too- but it's been really helpful in helping me feel more at home in my new country! Hope it does the same for you  ;D Lots of great peeps to be found!

Welcome again!
Jen

Can't add much to what everyone has said except to send a big howdy from the South.  I agree with runner on the addictive part. ;D

must tear self away..must tear self away....

Anyway, I hope you find answers to all your questions and do not hesitate to ask any others.
