Hello from the DMV
« on: January 08, 2019, 04:20:26 AM »
Hey,  my name is Whistle Thistle (WT for short).

Met my husband here in America and have been together for two, almost three, years. We finally finished the spousal visa application back in November, and now we're anxiously waiting to be approved. We try to see each other once every four months and I haven't seen him since October. We're holding out now and saving as much money as we can. In the meantime, I'm doing online college as a STEM major, working, and finding myself; each of us is trying to be the best person we can be for each other when we finally do see each other.  :)

I've been lurking on the site for a while and found everyone extremely supportive and helpful and decided to be a part of this awesome family. Thank you!

Welcome!

For the life of me, all DMV means is Department of Motor Vehicles.  I suspect it also means something else.... want to fill me in?   ;)

DC Maryland Virginia?
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Well it seems to be either that , Department of motor vehicles, or some sort of fungal infection!

We rep our hood to da fullest cuz aint no other place like us anywhere in the US. Our whole swag and slang and music and clothes is different from everybody else. I can go on and on bout us but i'm not.

DC Maryland Virginia?

Correct! I'm in the D.C./Maryland/ & Virginia area. When I first moved here from Georgia, I had to get my license renewed. On my way to the actual DMV, I kept hearing on the radio for "great songs in the DMV" and  I automatically thought "How does the radio know where I'm going???". A friend had to explain to me what it meant and that I'm not being watched, lol.

Also thank you guys so much for your warm welcomes :)

HA! So far I've been hearing about how everyone loves Wegmans.

I feel your pain and then some. I'm at a point where I'm trying not to count the days anymore. I'm this close to making an excel sheet of all how this is taking, haha. Hopefully, we can both get through this. Good luck to you as well and thank you! :)

Much like Banksy, people have tried to check the timings of my posts against the tour schedules of the rock group Massive Attack.
