dear all, just a note to say that I took the citizenship oath on Thursday, 5 years and five months after moving to the UK. What a relief! The advice on this board was invaluable and you all saved me from many errors and problems. Despite having a background in state and federal policymaking, I found UKVI's guidance to be nearly impenetrable, all the way from the first visa through applying for ILR (citizenship was very easy, on the other hand.)
