So its all Europe's fault or momentum or Italy or something.

What is it about England that they are never wrong? Genetics?

May is a remainer.

This is a ridiculous thing to say.  She has repeatedly said that she sees it as her duty to deliver Brexit.  She's doing that.  This whole time she hasn't done a single thing that would indicate otherwise.

Wether the Guardian is making a profit or not has nothing to do with the accuracy of it's reporting.  Saying otherwise is so silly that it is disingenuous.

I would be much more concerned with the times. Rupert Murdoch.

This is a ridiculous thing to say.  She has repeatedly said that she sees it as her duty to deliver Brexit.  She's doing that.  This whole time she hasn't done a single thing that would indicate otherwise.

She voted to remain but said she would deliver (her version of) Brexit as it was the will of the people.  She then made it clear in her speech in Florence, that she would keep the UK in the EU. It was reported Merkel confirmed that May said that to her.

What she is trying to do (and not very well) is to hoover up the Labour heartlands as they are the ones who want don't want immigration. In the UK, people vote for what Labour or the Conservatives will offer them at that election, which is why many of us have voted Labour and Tory. It's not like the US, well not like I see on here at least, where some of you seem to have a hatred of the other party. There may be some old people who are fixed in their ways and would never Labour/Conservative.

Just about every debate with MPs from all sides, accepted that the working Labour voter voted to end immgration and the working Conservative voter voted for what is best for the economy.

If you look at May's version of Brexit that she wants MPs to accept, the UK stays in the EU, but free moverment ends and some of those already in are banned from the UK, as many other EU countries are doing from their EEA country anyway now e.g. Gemany bringing in their "whoever lies, flies" law to ban those on free movement for 5 years.

With so many anti-uncontrolled immigration governments in the EEA countries now, joining together to change the EU from within, and Merkle who championed free movement, being thrown out of power in Germany, we don't know what what will happen in the future. Austria, on their 6 months rotation as EU President, asked the other countries to think about whether free movement was worth it. The President of the European Parliament standing down to run for leader of Germany, but getting the worst result his socialist party has seen for decades... It's all changing.

No they don't.  All newspapers are losing money hand over fist.  People get their news online for free, with the predictable consequences.

Do you seriously believe this?  Theresa May is going through all this pain and humiliation to actually keep the UK in the EU as some sort of secret plot?  Except it's not so secret because Merkel already announced it?   After introducing numerous pieces of legislation asking parliment AGAINST Brexit, she's going to come out at the last minute and announce she's actually FOR it, like some Bond villain?

Did you happen to read that on the internet, or was it in a newspaper?

This is an interesting op-ed piece.

And then there is this bit of news https://www.rte.ie/news/brexit/2019/0116/1023521-brexit-ireland-reaction/

So I do wonder what is going to happen next?

This is an interesting op-ed piece.

Quote from: Mihir Sharma in Yahoo Finance
The British can blame no one but themselves. While they’ve never been enthusiastic Europeans, their decision to be the first country to withdraw from the EU is revealing of a basic inability to grasp their vastly diminished place in the world. That they are a member of the United Nations Security Council means little; that reflects merely the power that the British Empire had in 1945, not the U.K.’s power today. Nor is being a nuclear-weapons state much of a big deal any more: Such basket cases as North Korea have the bomb. Most of Britain’s foreign policy influence grows out of its loyalty to the U.S., and Britons’ disproportionate cultural influence derives from the fact that they happen to speak the same language as the world’s sole cultural superpower.

Aw, Nan. An Indian educated at Harvard using his big school words to explain to the British that they're less influential than Germany or France? Why do you want to upset the Brexit people like that?  ;)
