OH GOD....I need a friend

I know this isn't the place but I just don't know where to go. I am so far away from my family and my friends...I have to make some phone calls today and I really don't want to.....
Insight....

I just lost my mother this past friday and I am not coping....My husband has been great. He has been very supportive but I just want to scream....I want to bang my fists against the wall. I am trying to remain strong but I don't think I can.

I am so sorry to bring this into the group , I just don't know where else to turn...

Oh LIW!  I'm so sorry about your mother!  Will you be able to go home for the service?

This is exactly the right place to come when feeling alone.  Was the passing sudden?

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I can't even imagine. You don't have to be strong for anyone.

Thank you everyone....Unfortunately I won't be able to go back to the states...I'm in the process of next Visa and my Aunt and Uncle understand and honestly my mothers wishes were she didn't want anyone to make a fuss over her when her time came. My mother had health concerns but she was improving.  It was sudden and very unexpected.  :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'(

Such a heartbreaking situation for you. 

Whatever it takes for you to get through this time - that is what you do.  If that means you go to church, or go for a walk, or go shopping - it doesn't matter.

Will there be a funeral?  Could you have your own special time for her here? 

And it is always good to talk.  Sometimes you can feel as if you are just going over and over and over things and people don't want to listen.  But talking is always good.  People understand. 

Allow yourself to be angry, to cry, and don't feel guilty if you feel happy.

Hubby and I decided that I am going to plant a tree in her name so I can still have a place to go so I can talk to her when I need and want to... She didn't want a funeral....She wanted to donate her body to science, so with her medical conditions that she had maybe it could help and save someone elses life.

Planting a tree sounds lovely. That way she'll always have a special place close to you. She sounds like such a selfless lady.

Oh, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.  How heartbreaking and hard.  I love the idea of planting a tree so you can go and 'visit'.

How else can we help you out?  Chat, vent, scream, cry away here.  Death is hard at the best of times and being so far away is even harder.

I'm so sorry! How awful for you especially when it was not expected. I am so glad your husband is so supportive and the idea to plant a tree in her memory is a lovely idea. It is so hard when you are far away from your family. I had a similar experience when my mother died. It is rough but your memories of your mum will comfort you in years to come. And if you need to scream, scream! Sending hugs.

Sorry for your loss hope you can grieve in your own way here in the UK. I lost my dad in November and found it hard as I hadn’t seen him for five years and am still thinking about him. Hugs to you take care x

Oh girl I’m so so sorry. I lost my dad in September and losing a parent is traumatic. Scream, cry, whatever you need. We’re here to help you in any way we can. Hugs.
