Did you see anything unusual/different?

I didn't report my sightings, but basically all I saw were feral pigeons, magpies, blackheaded gulls in winter plumage (so no black heids!) and some wagtails.  Oh, a couple of dunnocks too.
But given that my 'garden' is a canal, I'm going to cheat and also count mute swans and coots!  ;)
Oh crap, I didn't realise it was just one hour! Or even one day!
I saw that lot in like a week.  I need to read more carefully!

That's a happy day!

One of the neighbourhood cats killed a bird in our yard recently so we haven't had nearly as many visitors as usual :( poor birdy. That convinced me a bird feeder really isn't wise here unless it's one stuck onto the upstairs windows.

YAY!!!
I can't remember if your bird is a herring gull or a lesser black back, but I've noticed the LBBs have been coming back to my bit as well  :D

He's a lesser black back.  Gorgeous boy.  :)

There is a baby crow down in the garden. Scruffy little thing, hopping around, obviously not able to fly yet. I've been trying to feed him but just like baby gulls, he has no idea what to do with anything which doesn't come from a parent!
They are keeping a close eye on him though so he should be ok!  :)

Awww! We've had some fledgling blackbirds and coal tits, but they were able to fly. We just got our feeder set up and I realised I should have researched bird seed and which birds like what first. But the pigeons, magpies and squirrels are happy.

They are on the red list, it's great that you have a pair.  :)

There are a few things to be careful of but in general, they will be grateful for whatever you can provide.  :)
