There are a few things to be careful of but in general, they will be grateful for whatever you can provide.  :)

Yes, I made sure to buy a good birdseed mix! I'm going to crush my peanuts a bit today too (they're in a wire feeder so not on a tray whole). I bought one of those 4 hanger gardman feeding stations so they have a variety to pick from and it has a water tray. :)

Brilliant!  :)

But still give them a bird bath if you can. They bathe to keep their feathers in good condition and it's just lovely to watch.  :D

The area where the puffin is, is the bird feeding area.  There are feeders in the trees on the left and feeders on the ground for the wood pigeons (my favourites). The big ceramic bird bath is down that way too.

Then we have the bird table, some bird boxes and a bat box.

Stuart spends a lot of time back there since lockdown. He loves his wee shed and sends me selfies of himself in it saying "shed life". It's like he is already an OAP.

Honestly,  I don't know. It is on the back side of the shed and I've not been back there at dusk. I'll have to go have a look tomorrow to see if I see any evidence.

Today saw robins, blackbirds, and fledgling coal tits that are *so* small flitting about, along with the pigeons and magpies. My cat is so happy watching from the upstairs windows.

I saw my neighbour across the street today when I was bringing in the bins. We had a bit of a chat from a distance.. we usually talk about the various wildlife in our gardens and she happened to mention her bats!   So there is a chance that I might see some if I look at the right time of day!  :D

The feeder has been a huge hit! Now we have an adult and juvenile Robin that frequently visit, along with the others. So cute!

It's just so rewarding! I'm really glad you decided to go for it and put up a feeder.

I live near a big park, and before we really only had the birds that nested in our backyard and that ate bugs on the ground. Yesterday we had a whole bunch of long tailed tits and a couple dunnocks. It's been so fun watching and looking up the ID's on the birds. Still need a bird bath, but husband said no to spending more money on it right now and I don't have any spare plant saucers. Once people start wearing masks more regularly I will visit the garden centre. :)

When my bird was a baby, there happened to be a paint roller tray in the garden that I'd put outside out to clean.
He used that as a bath that whole first summer.  :)
