We had another new visitor today. A yellow wagtail! I'm loving having the feeder and getting to see the personalities of the "regulars". :)

No. I don't actually know if this is a male or female but I have a small group of wood pigeons hanging out but this one stays the longest and stays pretty close to the puffin. I just started calling him/her John Thomas... lol. But this one often stays all day and will just sit there looking pitiful especially when it is raining. He/she does interact with another wood pigeon but then it leaves and JT just looks at Patty. Lol. He isn't sick or injured as he does fly and he does leave but he always comes back.

I wish I'd had a camera with me yesterday, there was a pair sitting up on top of my garden gate. I don't know if they were preening or feeding each other but for all the world it looked like they were kissing!   [smiley=smitten.gif]

We have a pair that I've named Bonnie and Clyde. They are always together, but also always fighting other wood pigeons and magpies. Our yard is full of feathers because of them.

I collect big feathers, mostly from the gulls,  give them a wash and use them as cat toys.  :)

OH!  Thank you, larrabee!  Now I know what they're called!  I see them occasionally, and I love them!  I've been wondering what they are.

Honestly, I'd forgotten myself what they are called so I googled "giant thrush" and it came up right away!  ;D

One year we had a whole flock of them land in the garden to feast on the windfall apples.  :)

They are just so interesting, compared to the other visitors I have.  Though I love the tiny birds... wrens and coal tits, too.  They're really cute.  :)
