Introducing Myself...
« on: December 20, 2004, 10:27:48 PM »
Howdy!

Just wanted to introduce myself.  I've been frequenting another board, but hear good things about UK Yankee and wanted to check you out.

I'm a dual US/UK citizen with two girls ages 8 and 11.  I've got family in the Edinburgh area and up in Shetland, and am hoping to make the move to Scotland with my kiddos sometime this summer.  Still trying to square things away with the ex, but I'm hopeful that we'll be able to work things out.  Still looking for a job, but finding it a bit difficult from this side of the world.  Hoping something will show up soon!

Alison
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Welcome to UK Yankee Alison. Whereabouts are you now? You're very lucky to have dual US/UK citizenship.

I'm currently in southern Utah.  I was only able to claim UK citizenship last year as the result of the changes in immigration law dealing with the adult children of British born mothers, but yes, it has made things much easier for me.

Thanks for the welcome!

I'm currently in Cedar City.  How long since you moved?  My folks moved to Hurricane about 20 years ago....it's incredible the changes since then!

How long since you moved?

I moved here 4 years ago.  I went to SUU as well so I lived in Cedar City for 4 years and I also lived in Hurricane for a year.

It has changed so much in the time I have been here.  Was completely amazed how all the empty spaces have filled up since I left.
