We had it in Florida!  And Colorado.  But I think it may have been called something else.....  off to Google.

Ahh, several names.

I make it homemade with real lumpfin crab. It's so good but expensive to make the real deal. I grew up near the Chesapeake bay.
Listening to a podcast and just had something posed....crab Rangoon...is it just an east coast thing?! Do people on the west coast really not know what crab Rangoon is?!

I do  prefer the blue crab you guys have up there to the brown crab here in UK.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

I’ve had Crab Rangoon when I was a kid in West Texas. Recently, my son ordered it from Panda Express chain restaurant. So it’s not that unusual.

I've had scallion panckes in China, so they are probably actually Chinese  ;)

Crab Ragoons, yuck!!!  One of the few foods I loathe. I like crab. I like cream cheese. I like wonton wrappers. I like fried food. I don't like them all together.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

That sounds lush... I would definitely try one (if it was real crab...)

And me.

Love Crab Rangoon.

And I put prawn crackers right in the bin as soon as the delivery arrives.

Before GF life, I loved crab rangoon and scallion pancakes. There was a really traditional Chinese restaurant where I grew up in Rochester. So tasty! But that doesn't help with your comparison cuz that's generally considered east coast.
