My old boss put Judge on his PPI refund check and wasn’t able to cash it.    [smiley=laugh4.gif]

The couple who live behind us really are Sir and Lady [Neighbour McNeighbourface].  He is the 15th Baronet [McNeighbourface], and she gets to be called "Lady" because he married her.  The title doesn't suit her.

Do they insist on being called by their titles?  Or special/different treatment due to their titled status?  The people I know hate it and prefer to avoid their titles as much as possible.  (and they aren't insignificant titles either; surname of Windsor)

They do insist on "Sir" and "Lady" if addressed by name.  They are not popular in the community.  They offered on their house a couple of weeks after we offered on ours, and they completed a few weeks before we did.   By the time we moved in, we heard SO many stories from the other neighbours and the person we bought our house from.
