Okay, you don’t need the following:

- Two passport-sized photos (Signed on reverse)... you only need 1 passport photo, it does not need to be signed on reverse and it will just be mailed back to you

- Letters Showing Accommodation Proof (Bank Info, Utility Bill)... won’t be considered

- Pictures Of Us Together + Pictures Taken At Wedding... only send 2 photos max. One from the wedding and one from early in the relationship

- Notarized Letters Of Support... cannot be considered

- Scans Of Cards From Friends + Family...cannot be considered

Ah so you think we've gone a bit OTT with some of this stuff? I can remove the items in which case to reduce the size just a little.

As for the photos I've heard conflicting information on this, would sending in more photos (we have 20, 4 per page planned) be detrimental or is it simply a case of "they have a box to tick showing photos so anything else is pointless"?

In the case of visa applications, less is more. You want to send all the required documents, but nothing that is not required, because a) those extra things won’t be looked at and b) they can clutter the application and cause important documents to be missed.

The only reason you are sending a photo is to prove you have met one time in person. It is not for relationship evidence, it’s for the requirement that you must have met before applying (to prevent forced or scam marriages).

They just need to tick a box to say they have seen 1 photo of you together.

You don’t get a bigger or better tick for sending more than 1 photo.

We only recommend sending 2 photos just to show an early vs. a recent photo together, but it’s not a requirement to send more than 1.

Wise words, Thank you. We've made some changes so the last step is to get the shipping and send it to the scanning hub correct?

VFS Services USA Inc.
UKVI Scanning Hub
80 Broad Street,
Floor 6
New York, NY 10004

So happy that we're basically there! It's been a long and expensive process but it'll be over soon.
