you can cook the other recipe on the stove top as well but I like this recipe better lol
???why make a small batch when you can make a mega batch???

Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats (Large Quantity Recipe)

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups (12 oz.) margarine or butter
3 pounds of regular marshmallows
1 3/4 gallons Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal (1lb.8oz.)

Directions
1. in a large sauce pan or steam-jacketed Kettle, melt margerine. Add marshmallows, stirring constantly, cook over low heat until marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat or turn off heat.

2. Add Kelloggs rice krispies cereal to hot marshmallow mixture, stirring until cereal is well coated.

3. Using a very well buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly in a 26x18x1 inch sheet pan coated with cooking spray or margarine. Allow to cool then sut into 2x2 squares... best if served the same day.
yield: 96 servings  ( yeah oook)

Note
best results use fresh marshmallows
diet, reduced calorie or tub magarine is not recommended
I also recommend you get the strongest person in the house to do the mixing cause this stuff get as hard to stir as cement after a little bit

Yummy!  Marshmallow treats.  Mine never end up as bars, however, b/c I just stand over the pan and eat the mixture.

Hee hee!  Me too!  I don't think I've ever had one that was actually bar-shaped!   ;D

The other thing i find horrible are those 'cakes' made of chocolate coated corn flakes! >BOAK<

Ick ick ick ick.  Totally agree on this.

As for the rice krispie treats, I get cravings for it every once in a while - kind of like I get cravings for those big orange foamy peanut candies.  Don't like them normally and don't understand the cravings!  ::)
