So many cupboards!  I dream of such storage.

In our old rented accommodation, I had three cabinets.  2-1/2 of them were full of crockery that my husband had collected over the years but we never used.  The last 1/2 of a cabinet was for tinned and boxed foodstuff.  Spice jars, oils, and vinegars were arranged on the radiator cover.

And here at our house, I dream of any cupboards!  ;)

Not even all our cupboards!

This new kitchen has more than double what our current kitchen has! I don't even think I'll be able to use them all!

Is the stool holding up the cupboards? That's what I'd do, but I'm not a professional.  ;)

(seriously, looks great!)

The stool with (wood on top of it at one point) WAS holding up the cupboards so that my husband could mark up the wall and drill. it effectively replaced me as his help (as he's made very clear to me...I was replaced by a wobbly, old, wooden stool...lol). We are definitely not professionals either so you've definitely (mostly) guessed it right but it was no longer holding it up at this point haha

Haha! See, you went that one step further, which is what separates the amateurs from the pros. If that were my kitchen that would be a load-bearing stool.

hahaha protip: that's why you need the wood! You put a bit extra height on the stool for the measuring, drilling, etc., then you REMOVE the wood plank and VOILA! It's hanging on it's own! Thinner objects (like a chisel)  but similar tactics work well with hanging doors as well ;)

I thought you were supposed to hang upper cabinets before the lower cabinets?  So that you didn't have to reach over the lower ones.

Maybe! We're definitely not professionals so this could definitely be the case! I have no idea how Rik worked out what order to do things (might've been down solely to the fact that he could get a counter guy to come in quicker than he could to all the cabinet fittings LOL)

If you did it that way, you'd need a reeeeally tall stool though!  ;) ;) ;)
