Tax cut
« on: April 22, 2019, 06:35:22 PM »
So I’m looking at my payslips and I noticed that I haven’t had any tax deducted, but they still deduct for national insurance. Is this something common or should I bring this up with my employer?

This is absolutely normal.

National Insurance contributions count towards your State pension, similar to FICA payments in the USA, a.k.a. Payroll taxes and are payable on the gross amount with no tax-free allowance like income tax.
