(definitely get your cat microchipped if you haven't already and intend for it to be an outdoor cat).


That'll be done anyway as it's one of the prerequisites for the trip but I'd say it's just as important for an indoor cat to be chipped, just in case they get out by accident.  :)

Oh I definitely would anyways! But didn't realise it was something that haaaaad to be done ahead of the move and I didn't want to sound to preachy or anything so just wanted to strongly advice to do it, ESPECIALLY if they'll be outside :D Not moved with a pet before so I didn't know, but it's probably a good thing that it's required for the move!

* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019
