Well I was expecting that my husband was going to call the chicken friendly vet  surgery, since he's doing architectual work for him and his boss's partner also works there as a vet, but he got busy and forgot.

Nonetheless, Mrs Chicken is looking a bit better today. Her feathers are shiny again, her eyes look brighter and she's come up excitedly for treats.  So, I hope she's on the mend!  I am such a worried Chicken-Mum!

Sounds like you are doing all the right things!

Awww, well I am not sure. She's sitting a lot still.  She's still eating though. And sitting when eating.   Seemingly bright eyes and feathers though. Hmmm.

Now I have another one who's turned off her food.

The vet is heading into hubby's office today, so hopefully they can give us some free advice. I am happy to have them come out or bring the chooks to them and pay though for them to get better!

It's so worrying when our animals are not themselves.  :\\\'( I really hope that everyone gets all the way better, soon.

Poor wee girl didn't want to stand up today, not even for mealworms (favourite treat). She was kind of crying out that she couldn't get up.

I've got her back into the makeshift chicken hospital and the vet is getting some antibiotics to us.   :\\\'( :\\\'(

Aww, I'm so sorry!  I was hoping she was on the mend when you were able to put her back with the others.  :(  Hopefully the antibiotics get her sorted.

Thanks everyone!
Look at my sad little girl. :\\\'(

I've got antibiotics and have given her some on celery leaves. She wouldn't open her beak for me.  I have now googled "How to open a chicken's beak"so I can make sure she gets a proper dose.

Are they able to give it via injection?  That's what I do for my kitty.  Soooo much easier!

He's not sure.  As a farm vet, he's mostly used to recommending euthanasia when these things happen,  :\\\'( but he did say that we could try the antibiotics!  We're doing the right things, keeping her in chicken hospital and away from the other two so she can rest up.

Injection is probably a good idea, but I will try for now to get her to open up her beak.

I've also ordered online some worming treatment, in case it's that.  Luckily the worming treatment is just mixed in with food.

Son of Sailor was telling me how to do this just the other day. Don't ask why.
