« on: April 25, 2019, 02:59:30 PM »
well, after 5 days of glorious sun and warm temps , its chucking down now. Was able to get a good start on a tan this week as off from work, now rain, hail, and the rarely heard rumble of thunder. Bye summer, it was good to see ya buddy!  ;D

Just having a few sprinkles here in N Yorkshire this afternoon.  We wish it would rain more as everywhere is bone dry and we have several fires in the wooded hills and moors behind us.  The fire engines were racing up there last evening and again this morning.

I don't expect any substantial rain until Monday as my wife's sister arrives on Sunday for a week's worth of hiking  ;D

I refuse to bid summer farewell so soon.  I shall cling to it desperately.  I see patches of blue sky out my window and I've even had moment of direct, bright sunshine today... of course, I've also had rain showers.  It's a bit changeable.  But mild temps, so I'm fine with it.

My forecast for the upcoming weekend does have black triangles and water droplets on Friday and Saturday, though...

Just barely misting here - enough to wash the pollen and dust from the air. Yea!

I messed up my lawn.  I sprayed patio weed killer along the cracks on the path and it definitely had overspray.  Killed off the edges.  My husband is not pleased.  Need to call my treatment guy....

But we've put fake grass down on two manhole covers in the garden - makes such a difference!  The overall look is much better.  :D

Oh, no! But that's so easy to do.. I'm scared of weedkiller, still spend all my time on my hands and knees weeding by hand!  ;D

Weedkiller.  I hope it's not "Roundup" as they've pretty much decided that's carcenogenic?

Took the brushed cotton sheets off the bed and replaced them with cool cotton.  Took the electric over blanket and put it away until Autumn.

And now it is freezing!
