Desperate for answers- ILR

I'm sorry I'm not active on this site, I am very grateful for all those of you who are able to answer and respond.

I am getting ready to apply for ILR for myself and my daughter who has recently turned 18. I was under the impression she needed to take the litUK test since she is now 18 but someone told me since she was 13 when she entered, she doesn't have to. Is this correct?

Also, do I have to submit paperwork on her as well as she doesn't have any bills only bank statements and the occasional GP docs.

I am stressed to the max with all of this and really could use some guidance. I can't seem to find any answers anywhere and I feel really useless. I literally just saw that I need to use the SET (M) form. I"m not planning on using an in-person service just mailing everything at the end of the month, hoping to have it all back by the end of August.

No, it's not correct. She is 18, so she must take the test.

If she was still under 18, she would not need to take it, but as she is now 18, she is required to take it.

I'm not sure. You'll need to check the guidance and the online application form:

I literally just saw that I need to use the SET (M) form.

The SET(M) form no longer exists as a paper form.

The online application should tell her what documents she needs to supply.

The application process has changed recently, and you can now scan and upload documents instead of mailing them. I don't know all the details though, and I'm not sure if you can still mail documents - you may need to submit documents at an in-person appointment (which is not the premium service).

Even if she was under 18 and applying on your application, you would still need to provide evidence of where she lives, as the document requirements for children under 18 are:
- passport
- birth certificate
- a piece of mail showing their address dated in the last 3 months (usually a letter from their GP or school)

But also, see what the online application says, as I don’t really know what happens with applications for children who have recently turned 18 and now have to apply separately.

Make sure that the proof of address she uses for the test exactly matches the name on the id which she uses and that this all matches exactly with the information provided when booking the test.
