We’ve had 110mm of rain in the last 5 days, with 100mm of it falling in the first 3 days!

That makes 123.4mm of rain in June so far at my base (the average for the whole month for us is about 54mm).

I think I prefer this over the weeks of heat last year that made it difficult to sleep. Its like its April again? And next week in London its going to be the super fun combo of moderately warm (mid-70s) and wet. Oh joy. This is going to be one of those years where we get two weeks of heat at the end of July.

The cats are Not Happy - one of them just wants to eat all the time and the other sleeps for hours at night under (what we call) his Sun Lamp, which is a small desk lamp with a really hot bulb  ;D We were joking about getting him some little kitty tanning goggles.

plus its hairball season as cats shed their coats, been greeted twice this week with floor presents and stepped on one with bare feet  :-X
Added bonus this week, cat was going insane playing with his catnip mouse, at least thats what I thought it was,,,,NOPE real mouse he brought in! Good kitty, save my garden as at least lettuce is doing really well with the rain

Oh yeah, we have one that furballs enough for BOTH cats and have gotten plenty of gifts. She also barfs if she eats too fast, so now she gets her kibble on a plate in order to make her eat slower.  SO.MUCH.FUR lately though!  I just brushed them the other day (furminating a good third cat worth of hair) and they both look like they ran through a hedge again. And fake squeeky mouse is getting a workout (and a dunking in the waterbowl).

Rain, rain, rain....

Played a summer gala in the pouring rain on Saturday!

Got a few hours of no rain yesterday afternoon and it was glorious.  Heavy rain over night.   Spitting rain this morning, but okay for now. Sure it won't last and will pour again shortly.  ::)

Yay, it's raining again.  Had 2 days of good weather during the day! Made it up to 19C!  And then, rain, heavy rain.

We had flash flooding.  The town centre was wrecked. Many businesses have had to shut for clean up and repair. The river breached and flooded lower Stirling too.

Headbangers were down in the town doing the old slip n slide down the streets and swimming in the flood waters. Ewww... gross. I walk those streets (shut it Jimbo) and see the garbage, bird and dog shite on the pavement.

These kids will soon be our patients with weird bacterial infections.

My Care Home pharmacy was flooded but we got that cleaned up pretty quickly this morning and it was business as usual the rest of the day.

It was a rough day for the wee town!

My front garden is growing the largest variety of mushrooms I've ever encountered.  So many different types to choose from!   ;D
