Awesome, great news thank you

I had a thought about my fiancée bank statements for the evidence package.
I have printed 8 full months for the account, these are statements direct from online. Do I need these stamped or signed from the bank or will they be good how they come straight from the website... Barclays branding, account summary, transaction history for the month etc.

Yes you do. The requirement is that the bank statements must either:
- be official statements sent in the mail
Or
- online statements that are either stamped by the bank branch on every page or accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the bank on official bank stationery

Thank you, that’s added a few days to get the statements sent over to me from my fiancée but good catch!

Yeah, this is why we advise not to submit the online application until you are absolutely sure the applicant has everything in their hands and it’s all in the required format...because you don’t want to submit and then miss the deadline to get the documents to them because you have to order new statements or get them stamped or whatever.

Hi,

An update - online application submitted, biometrics on the 2nd July at ASC (not premium center)

I was looking on the VFS website for the shipping of the documents and there are a few option so not sure which I need to do. To remind you I am submitting fiancé visa for UK from USA. I will be sending my pack to NY to be scanned to UK.

Which of the following should I purchase to send documents to new York and also have return shipping label included.

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/us/en/premium-services/round-trip-settlement-visa-courier-service

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/us/en/premium-services/settlement-visa-courier-service

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/us/en/premium-services/round-trip-courier-service-up-to-5lbs

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/us/en/premium-services/courier-service-up-to-5lbs

I have no doubt I am making this more complicated than it needs to be

Thanks
Mark

None of them. Well, okay, ideally you want either the 2lb or 5lbs return courier service for either $70 or $140

However, because you are not using a Premium Centre and are sending everything to New York, you need to select USA - Application Support Centre:
https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/us/en/premium-services

The problem is that it claims that you cannot purchase any of the courier services if you do that, so basically, you may find it’s easier (and possibly cheaper) just to go to a UPS store yourself and purchase a return label from there (the courier service is nothing more than a pre-paid UPS label).

Will you be purchasing the Settlement Priority Service for $747? If so, you can do this on the VFS Global website using the link above.

Also, if you will be uploading all your supporting documents instead of mailing them to New York, you can do that there too.

@ksand24 thank you for your reply.

They seem to have a few kinks to iron out going through this process, their services are not straight forward and that online application was a pain, especially the spouse/sponsor section where they keep switching between you and their and then talking about applicants parents in same section.

Anyway, great thanks for the suggestion. Yes I purchased the premium already and have the receipt printed and at top of my pack along with online application. Biometrics printed and ready to go to the ASC.

I will go to UPS store and purchase a return shipping label and a spare return shipping packaging to put inside.

Then after biometrics i'll finish the pack off in  the same day and go back to UPS store to ship everything too;

VFS Services USA Inc.
UKVI Scanning Hub
80 Broad Street
Floor 6
New York, 10004

(the return shipping label will be sent back from the same NY address)

Does all that sound good?

Yeah, it’s a nightmare :(.

Ah, in that case, you wouldn’t be able  to purchase the courier service now anyway, as it would need to be done in the same transaction as the priority service (just to note, it is not a ‘premium service’, it’s priority. Premium is something different).

You don’t need return packaging. You just purchase one return label and put it in the package. Then you use the outbound label to mail it.

Looks good to me.

Yes sorry, I keep saying premium instead of priority, all good though.

Ah I assumed they needed new packaging to ship back, I guess they just use what you sent in.

I believe they have their own packaging that they use to ship it back.

@ksand24  thank you!

For my appicatiomn I am sending in my current and old passport in the application pack. Also in the applicants document section I have took a scan of the ID page for both. Do I need to scan front, back and every page in between? Or will the ID page be sufficient for both current and old passport?

If you’re physically sending both passports, you do not need to include any copies of them.

You MUST send your current passport anyway, as they need it to put the visa in (and cannot process the application without it), but I think you can send a copy of your old passport and not the actual one. I’m not sure whether you need to send a copy of the whole thing or not though.

Okay thanks, I will be sending both in, i have no use for the old one anyway and as you said I have to send my current.

Will just leave the ID copies as already done and not do the other pages. It doesn't sound like something that could make or break the application

Submitting package today, biometrics done!

One quick question, do I glue a passport photo to the online application print out where there is a square box with a head shape? or just include the photos loose with the pack?

I actually don't think you need to send a passport photo at all anymore as they usually just mail it back to you anyway, but as it's still listed on the supporting documents list, we suggest including one.

I would just leave it loose, or maybe put it in a small envelope.
