Remember: they are not made to clean ears!
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Q-tips (or "cotton buds", as they're known here) have reverted to being made of cardboard/paper-based sticks.  I haven't seen the plastic ones in a couple of years.

Good to hear, we haven’t bought any for many years. Same with kitchen wipes, we simply never moved over from washable clothes and kitchen cleaner to the plastic laden wipes already impregnated with cleaner. It was purely economic in our case, a convenience we decided not to pay for.

Best thing I've overheard recently from a stupid teenager walking past our house was (in proclamation to his mates): "I am going to c*& in my hand and slap it on yer face!" I just about died. What kind of sick mind, no of a kid nonetheless, imagines such a feat???? Jesus!

That reminds me of the old joke about 2 skinheads walking through Trafalgar Square with pigeons flying up ahead of them. “Wot’ll yer do if a bird sh!ts on yer head?” says one to the other  After a moment’s contemplation he replied, “I’d stop going out wiv ‘er”

Did indeed remind me of the chavs I grew up with. Though being a notherner, I always referred to them as Townies.

well i dont use straws to be honest. least not since I was eight years of age. i recently read in the news that some woman managed to kill herself by falling on top of her eco friendly metal straw.  it impaled her in her eye which went through her brain.

just a bit of light banter for you x

Plastics do have their place however. Especially in the food industry in terms of hygiene.

I'm an engineer at an aerospace composites company. All our stuff is plastic. Stronger & lighter than typical aluminium metallic components.

They are thermoset plastic so once cured cannot be recycled.
