US to UK money transfers
« on: July 12, 2019, 02:18:31 PM »
Can anyone recommend a money transfer service. Ideally I would like to use my USA debit card to send dollars to a service which will convert them into pounds and deposit in my UK bank account.

Any ideas? I have used a company called WorldFirst in the past but I always need to do an in person wire transfer which I cannot do unless I am in the USA. I also have to pay for the wire so it's not ideal.

Thanks,

Check out Transferwise. I have used them frequently for transfers the other way and they have always been excellent.

Transferwise. Have used them monthly for two years with absolutely no problems.

Transferwise definitely. My first transfer took a few days to clear but since then it only takes an hour or two maximum.
