Yes will wait to hear what they have to say. Fingers crossed!

It’s so weird because last time they were so big on having original bank statements and original letters, no copies, blah blah blah. And now, they’re literally making copies

Ahh well, first time for everything and now I know! Thank you! I’ll let you know what they say!

Sadly can’t at work but to be fair it’s probably cheaper to buy a new scanner than it is to buy the service haha! I’ll look into the apps too. I think there is one called TinyScanner that people use.

Haha yeah I was going to say that it might just be cheaper to buy a new printer/scanner compared to the service to be fair, but I guess you'll have to see.

You will still need originals and you'll need to take them to your appointment with you in case they need to see any of them - just FYI.

TinyScanner is great! I’ve used it loads of times.

Also worth seeing how much it would cost to use the scanning services a your local library. Mine offers it for 5p/page I believe. Although I’d understand if you don’t want to be scanning sensitive docs on a public scanner.
Spouse visa received: 30 November 2018

FLR(M)

Update - I called 03301231199 as per my booking email and at first she said yes it’s enhanced but it doesn’t cover the document scanning - even though the website said this. So I called back again and got the same lady and she asked her colleagues and put me on hold for a bit. Came back and said actually it is included! So I’m even more confused now haha. The website says it is so....

Scanning is included. See quotes below. It's included in all service points except for Core Service Points where you pay extra

Quote
Service point types
There are three different types of UKVCAS service points, which offer different locations, facilities and comfort. All offer standard, out of hours, next day and same day appointments:

  • core service points are larger locations that offer both free of charge appointments and out of hours appointments bookable for a fee
  • enhanced service points offer an inclusive package of extra services, such as document checking in advance of your appointment and document digitisation at the service point
  • premium lounge that offers a personalised customer experience

Quote
Related services
Use these services to help you during your appointment:

  • interpretation services if you require the appointment to be conducted in a language other than English (available at Core Service Points and Premium Lounges only)
  • document scanning (included in an Enhanced Service Point or Premium Lounge appointment, or an on-demand pop-up or VIP visit; may be purchased when attending a Core Service Point)

Show them their website. I booked an appointment at a Core Centre for £100 (out of hours) so you've paid extra which i imagine is for the included service of document scanning

Thanks so much! Yeah that makes sense! They have a list and all their core centers are highlighted red - the one I’m booked at is definitely enhanced.

Panic over! Thank you!
