Thank you again for all of your help!
My husband and I have run into another little problem. Lloyd's bank has provided us with my husband's 6 month bank statements but only the first page has the bank's stationary and stamp. They refused to stamp any of the other pages and said this is how they print them out and would not print the rest on stationary paper. We had to wait 11 working days for them to do this! Will this be good enough? According to appendix FM bank statements must
(v) be:
(1) on official bank stationery; or
(2) electronic bank statements which are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page.

I'm just not sure this satisfies part V1. I don't know what else we can do if Lloyd's refuses to do what we ask of them and we don't want to have to wait another couple of weeks for them to only mess it up again.

In regards to this, I would probably take the appendix into the branch (or even to a different one if possible) to get it all done according to the visa application needs. It's very strange it took so long, in the past I've just printed off the statement I need and taken it to the branch to be stamped all in the same day.

In regards to my documents as proof of residing together, I'm not sure what counts or if we should just go to the bank and get some statements to fill it out:
  • August 2017 welcome letter to a new credit card (me)
  • September 2017 welcome letter to new savings account (him)
  • March 2018 council tax bill (both)
  • September 2018 international payment confirmation from the bank (both)
  • December 2018 council tax bill (both)
  • May 2019 stamped bank statement (me) and mobile phone bill (him)
  • August 2019 credit card statement (me) and letter from our internet provider about our contract due to end soon (him)

The last thing for my husband feels super tenuous, luckily I have just found his pension statement from July this year so I'm replacing it with that. I've also found a water bill from Aug 2017 which I'll replace my credit card welcome letter with as it feels more official.

Just read that it should be space evenly over the course of the whole visa, so now thinking of also replacing the Dec 2018 with Oct 2018 docs and the Sep 2018 docs with April 2017 docs to bring it all back a bit further. Thoughts?

And to confirm I will need:
> payslips for the past 6 months
> bank statements for the past 6 months showing the pay and stamped by the bank on each page
> letter from employer confirming contract and salary
> latest p60 (optional, but I have it so why not)
> marriage certificate
> now we've lived in 3 different flats over the course of the past 2.5 years, do. I just show the land registry for the latest flat, or do I need to also include the tenancy agreements of the last two?

And that should be it, right?!

Hokay, so I started the online application thinking it would show me the appendix to understand all the documents, but there is no appendix that I can find!

I also can't find what exactly it is I'm applying for on the online form - I know how I got there (thanks for the link @ksand24 !), but the only thing I can see now is "Family Route", and I always thought "route" was the sort of terminology used for ILR... [smiley=sick.gif]

And that should be it, right?!

For the payslips, you want to be sure you have six FULL months, as reflected on the dates printed on the payslips.  So if they only show the pay date, and not the date of the start of the pay period, you'll need one from before the start of the six months to give a start date to count from.  Also, the most recent payslip must be dated within 28 days before you submit your application.  (TL;DR: You might need one extra payslip.)

For the bank statements, make sure they span at least the same six FULL months that the payslips cover, and that all of the wages you're relying on are shown being depositing in.

For accommodation, you show the land registry if you own your current place, or the tenancy agreement if you're renting your current place.  You do not need the documents for the previous addresses.

However, for relationship evidence, you do need the six to twelve items of correspondence addressed to you and your partner, spread evenly over the time, and sent to the same address as each other for each point in time.  For example, a bank statement for you and a NHS letter for your partner from January 2018, sent to your first residence.  It shows that you both lived at that address at the same time.  And then a joint water bill from May 2018, sent to your second residence.  Etc., until you have six points of time with things addressed to both of you at the same address.

Thank you for all this info!!

On this point, I have literally just printed off my pay slips and got them stamped in pay roll, but I realised as I was leaving that they don't have my NIN on them - is that going to be a problem? - and they only say "pay period: Sep 2019" meaning the whole month - what does that mean for September not exactly being over yet? I've done back to April, but should I do March as well? Am I overthinking everything? (yes)

What specific dates are on your payslips?  Like, what do they say, exactly?

IF they say something like:

1/3/2019 to 31/3/2019
1/4/2019 to 30/4/2019
1/5/2019 to 31/5/2019
1/6/2019 to 30/6/2019
1/7/2019 to 31/7/2019
1/8/2019 to 31/8/2019,

then you have six FULL months covered (though you can't apply until after the end of September, because they have to end within 28 days BEFORE your application date... which is the date you pay and submit your online application).

If they only have the date that the wage is deposited into the bank account, you need to include a seventh payslip at the start to show wages going back six FULL months.

Edited to add:  The ECO is going to look for the first date on the first payslip and the last date on the last payslip, and if there isn't six FULL months between them, you're short.

I think this will be my situation, because they only have the following with no exact dates on the pay periods, but I'm sure they won't mind me popping down for another stamp, I forgot to bring my P60 anyway!  ::)

Payslip Date       Pay Period
15-APR-2019  Apr-2019
15-MAY-2019  May-2019
14-JUN-2019  Jun-2019
15-JUL-2019  Jul-2019
