Apologies if this has been mentioned: but I was walking through London Victoria mainline station and out of the blue I saw a KK shop. It's a mini-KK, a kiosk presumably to replace the old Cinnabon shop that used to be there (ages ago).

Aimi,
Waaaay off topic, but...That picture of your pops and Mr. Clark is a little uncanny.  Dick is well into his 70's if not early 80's.  We were scared that he was actually an anamatronic dummy like you see on the it's a small world ride at disney world, and that he would have some sort of Y2K glitch that year.  Alas, he is human  :\\\'(

Regis is a good substitute though, sorry I missed him.

Has anyone broke the news that KK is fried? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3939323.stm

Sorry guys. KK at Harrods might not be there too much longer. Better fill up while you can.

(Note: Old article I know but the news over here in the US is talking bankruptcy / liquidation. Bummer huh? Oh well... nothings as good as a Dunkin' Doughnut anyway! *prepares to get pelted*)

No Pelting Mars Bar.  But a personal story...
I worked my a$$ off on a project one time, and the boss I was working for at the time bought my team DD Donut Holes.  He was too cheap to buy the donuts, just brought in the holes.  From that day forward I vowed to never like Dunkin Donuts.  They have since swayed my stance a little bit with their tasty selection of coffee's.
I think by your post about KK going into bankruptcy, I'm going to need to start supporting them more.  Buying stock or dozens of donuts or something.  As I think I stated in an earlier post, world peace could be established with a few dozen sugar coated yeasty goodness dough balls.
Now to work on stealing that DD coffee......hmm

Mars,

Say it isn't SO! KK in bankruptcy? Dunkin has its merits, but having tried doughnuts from both, I'm a firm KK fan.

Aimiloo, your dad should consider impersonation work. The resemblance is uncanny.

Just wanted to mention I spotted a KK kiosk at Victoria station yesterday. Expensive. £7.95 for a dozen assorted but they looked GOOD. Better than the grease balls my local KK had in the USA!   [smiley=puke.gif]

Mmmmm... grease balls! Yum!

Eons ago (before KK spread across the US), we had Southern Maid Donuts in Shreveport, Louisiana. They were very much like KKs -- greasy and delish. The donut shop had been there for years and Elvis did radio ads for them before he was famous! I guess that explains a lot, huh?

Back to KK -- where else do they exist in the UK besides Harrods, Victoria Sta., and now this new location coming in Surrey?
