If anyone is making a pumpkin pie from a can, what are you doing for a pie crust? I've never made my own pie crust before, I always used pre-made, but I don't think I can get that here (this is my first autumn here). Has anyone found a pre-made crust?
You can buy JusRol pastry in most supermarkets. If you're gluten free Genius do one in the freezer section as well. But pie crust is actually pretty easy to make! I haven't seen the pie crust already in pie plates like you can buy in the US, or Graham cracker crusts.

Plus Graham cracker crust is wrong for pumpkin pie.

Is the JusRol shortcrust comparable to American pie crust? I wasn't sure if it was the same. Or close enough.

I'm not able to eat it, I assumed it was based on other posts though. Not many people like making pie crusts!

A fine looking bowl of Pumpkin innards!  I'm going to boil it with vegetable stock and add cream to make soup.

I have yet to have found a bagel in this country that has the correct texture. I bought a package of cinnamon and raisin ones last week (from Tesco? Iceland? Don't remember.) They were tasty, but not "bagels." Wrong mouth feel, same as with all the pretzels here so far.

YES! Auntie Anne's Pretzels opened here in Birmingham a few years ago and I was so excited. But it didn't last.
I was back in the States for a visit and ate all the bread things that just don't cut it here.

You know what else I miss?
The Pilsbury biscuit tubes.
Flaky, buttery Grands, crescent rolls or cinnamon rolls easy-peasy.

Has anyone found canned pumpkin ?

I can easily get canned pumpkin year round at Tesco in the American section.

I just bought 2 cans of Libby yesterday.  I've also seen it at Sainsbury's.
