Um, about the weather in England

You might want to kind of batten down the hatches a bit for the weekend. It could be a little windy.

Fortunately for us in NE England the weather system is staying well enough to the west to not bring the high winds.

Glad it petered out. Looks like Ireland took most of the steam out of what might have otherwise ended up here as well. They've been saying for the last several days that it was supposed to be pouring down rain here in Glasgow, but so far it's just spit a little bit and been a little breezy. And the sun is shining now.  The Met kinda doesn't get the forecast right as much as one would hope, really, it seems?

You're welcome. It's not every day the remnants of a hurricane remain so powerful for so long, and long enough to potentially be a threat to the UK!

I heard the sun is actually made of fire, and when it is visible in the sky, you can feel its warmth even though it's millions of miles away.  It sounds lovely.

The sun is out in Manchester! But blimey, last night there was some downpour with high winds causing havoc.

What a difference it makes waking up to sun and blue sky!
