On the positive side. I got my ILR approved 45 days on the dot from my Sopra Steria appointment, where I paid them to scan my docs.

That's fantastic! I've  been wondering how you were getting on. Congratulations Lyonaria!  ;D [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif]

I'm sorry we weren't able to celebrate your ILR as soon as it came through, but on the other hand, YAY!  You're DONE! Congratulations!

I imagine the stress of the application and the house were factors in your husband's flare-ups.  Hopefully, things will be much better for both of you, now.

Thanks so much!

I honestly would have had such a more stressful time with all my visas without UKYankee and all you lovely folks.

It is so nice to be done with all the required visas. Now we can chill for a bit.

No champagne for me (booze in any amounts seems to give me a hangover now 😅) but I did have cheesecake from Tesco! (Which BTW, they have a freezer version of the baked cheesecake for £2... It's damn good!!!)

It was definitely moving, house stuff, relationship stuff and his work. He's now quit (put in his notice last month) so I'm a bit worried about money... If it's not one things it's another, right?

Don't let your citizenship application slide. As soon as you can manage it financially, get that one over then you will really be done!

And if that gave you even a twinge of anxiety, don't worry!  It's super easy, AND if you aren't approved for some crazy reason, you don't have to worry about being deported.  You just try again when you're ready.

To confirm, the citizenship was actually the easiest and least stressful of them all!

For some reason I thought you only had one go for Citizenship? Not sure why, but that's what I've always thought.

You can apply again. In the refusals I've seen elsewhere, they even told the applicants when they would be eligible to try again!

Not that this will be relevant for you though!  :)
