What I miss most about snow was the silence of it.  You can't hear it, so when you opened your curtains in the morning, it could be a HUGE surprise.  So magical!

We’re going back for Christmas this year and while I don’t really care for it, I hope it snows for our kiddo. She’s never really experienced good snow before it is quite magical!

What is their policy on hot water bottles in the workplace!  ;)

I've been bringing mine in. Not for cold, but for pain. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who does!

Cold makes me hurt.  It's one and the same.

Back when I had a real job (with my own office and everything!  Like a grown-up!), I kept a small electric space heater under my desk.  I also had a small blanket across my lap.  I was chronically cold, even in summer, because Arkansas... people do love their air conditioning.

Yeah, in a big office I've always needed a blanket. I was parked in front of the radiator at my last job and they had no AC, but I'm sure I'll be bringing one in for this next job since it's in a large building. And possibly a battery powered hot water bottle if I can find a good one.

Sunshine and puffy white clouds today, for the first time in recent memory.  ;D  I'm going out for a walk in the Botanics, with a pocket full of bird seed, very shortly.

Hope all of you down south are dry and not frantically searching for a bailing bucket!   :o :)

Meanwhile in the flood plain... it is windy, cold but not raining at least. And everything is flooded. The River Devon breached its banks.

Oh, gosh, Tami. You guys aren't flooded out are you?

(The puffy white clouds and sun lasted about two hours. Then it started raining/sleeting sideways again.)

I live further up the hill so not personally but this area was hit pretty hard with flooding.

Wow, well stay safe!

Note to self (again): never rent or purchase a home in a floodplain. Even 500-year floods do happen, eventually.  :(
