I don't envy you the return.  It took years before I felt acclimated to the UK climate.  I wouldn't want to have to do it all over again.  But your weather does sound sooo lovely...  How's the humidity there?
It’s usually between 55% and about 75% humidity... we can get really heavy showers, but for the most part it’s not bad. I’m glad I’m coming back in the Spring and not winter though.

Last time I was here, it was 26 C here at 11pm when I left, and 6 C in the UK when I landed the next morning (early March).

Well, that does sound perfect.  I would happily live there.  Enjoy it!

Hopefully, your return won't be quite the same contrast.

We have been out gardening, but had to stop because we were getting a mixture of snow/sleet/hail and rain. Brrrrrrr

Most of the week, we had brisk-but-tolerable springlike days, with full sunshine.  Now it's Saturday and my husband is off work, and it's grey, cold, and threatening rain... no hanging out in the garden at a safe distance together.  Isolation continues.  :/

On the other hand maybe the gloomy weather will have made it easier for some people to stay indoors.

Once again, you find the silver lining.  I don't know how you do it!

Seriously, you need to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.  No one can calm a situation like you!

Can we deploy you to a few places?

Haha! It's my husband you need for that, he's the diplomat in the family!  ;D

Does he want to mediate between me and my “employer”?  ;D

I've been seeing this making the rounds in FB, and it sums up my thoughts exactly.

My 3-month trial of 2020 is coming to an end.  I would like to return it please and try something else.
