Hehe, I had no idea my intro would generate such an outing of "krautphilia" in this forum  8)

I spent around 1.5 yrs in the Harrisburg/Lancaster area and I absolutely LOVED it!!!  I still have so many fond memories and I really miss being there ... but my stay was on a work visa basis and my company didn't extend it that's why I had to return to London ...  :(

The other stages of my US visit were Cambridge, MA, for 9 months and NYC for another year, well, actually, I lived in Jersey City ... and worked across the Hudson river!

That's too funny - my godparents are in Harrisburg...I grew up near Wilkes-Barre area.  And spent 2 years in Watertown, MA...which is right next door to Cambridge...small world!
