Moving back to the U.S.
« on: November 21, 2019, 06:47:37 PM »
Hi all,

My husband & I decided we could not make it work long-term together, and so we have decided to go separate ways. He will remain in the U.K., and I have moved back to the U.S. and will start a new life in NYC.

Luckily I kept credit cards and bank accounts active while I was in the U.K., so returning to the U.S. was relatively easy.

I've got a few questions:
  • Do I need to do anything with my BRP card (now expired)?
  • How can I transfer my U.K. pension to a fund in the U.S.?
  • Where can I get a decent Sunday Roast in NYC?

Any advice would be fab.

Thank you!

Justin

I am sorry to hear that things did not work out for you. While I do not have answers to your more important questions, I did want to recommend Jones Wood Foundry in NYC for your roast query. When we were living there, it was my English husband’s preferred venue if he needed a fix.
